I should title every post “Free Beer on Tap,” so you’ll actually read some of this lyrical genius I’m bringing on a not-quite daily basis. And I say lyrical because my words should be delivering music to you ears! Ha — I know, too much. I had a large coffee this morning, and it’s going straight to my ego. Let’ s get back to the beer topic, so you can start liking me again.
The beer title is actually not a ploy. You can sip some brews for free this Saturday, March 15, at Myke’s Cafe and take in some art by local and national artists while enjoying the music of Vinyl Soul.
The guys from Soul Driven, who usually exhibit at Analigital in San Fernando, have teamed up for a pop-up art show featuring New York muralist Paul Nassart, muralist and artist Kristy Sandoval (that’s her Erykah Badu piece above), Roberto Zea, Armando Soria and others.
Myke’s Cafe owner and head chef Ralph Andrade was recently featured on KCAL9 news (see below) in honor of National Pancake Day, as if the free booze, art and music weren’t enough to lure you in. Check out the event on Saturday night at 13171 Van Nuys Blvd., Pacoima, 7 p.m.-midnight.
