They’re herrrrre! The i am sf summer tanks arrived this week, and they are light, breathable and, most importantly, heat-wave ready! Take it from me, the women’s tank is something you’ll want to throw on in the throes of these August days.
Well, it might be hard to trust me considering I’m the one selling them, but I’m sort of the only person you can listen to right now since no one is else is blogging about the east Valley nor tank tops reppin’ aforementioned valley.
So, about the subject at hand. The 100 percent slub-jersey cotton (that’s fashion speak for cotton with style) tank was made right here in Los An-heh-les. I should say custom made because the production was a step-by-step process I personally oversaw — I wouldn’t do you ladies wrong. I made sure these babies were racerback (flattering, no?), loose-fitting (flattering, most definitely) and of a nice hue (charcoal grey).
And now for the plea. This isn’t a plea per se, but more of a “hear-me-out-’cause-when-have-I really-asked-you-to-hear-me-out?” type thing. All right, so, in my 18 months as a blogger, I haven’t really asked for much in return. Outside of your undivided attention, attendance at events and Facebook “likes,” I don’t think I’ve been overly promotional. No Kickstarter campaign, yet.
But, I am going to ask for your support now. Mainly because I do put a lot of work toward this love I call i am san fernando. And, I’m not just talking abstract effort, like working alliteration into headlines or puns into paragraphs. We’re talking about tangible, money-out-of-pocket, time-out-of-life effort.
It usually costs me more than I make to put out a product, like the first round of i am sf t-shirts. It wears on my wallet to eat out and review local spots when I could be enjoying last night’s leftover pasta. It gets expensive supporting local events every month, so I can bring more extensive coverage to the blog. I have to pay hosting fees, Web-related expenses and the like.
But, more than anything, it costs time. Time to write, be out and about, maintain social media networks, meet potential contributors, respond to emails, etc. Just imagine maintaing a creative business outside of your full-time job, family, relationships and, well, life. For free.
i am sf has become my life and, for that, I am grateful. But, the reality is, I got bills, yo! So, a small show of appreciation on your end would mean the world. I know what you’re thinking — $16 and shipping? She must be taking a dose of those crazy pills. But, hey, this isn’t a cheap product. I didn’t buy 100 discount shirts and slap on the logo. I had an industry professional collaborate on the process and now we have a tank that would be selling at a higher price if it were in retail.
And, look, I’ll even refund your shipping if you want it delivered at a local event. Just shoot me an email at email@example.com.
I’ll leave you with the PayPal link below. Do with it what you will. Or do with it what I would and buy! Thanks a million.
